Eva Braun, long-time mistress and finally wife of Adolf Hitler, born February 6, 1912 in Munich, probably committed suicide by poison on April 30, 1945 in Hitler’s bunker in Berlin, uttered these last words to one of Hitler’s secretaries: “Sweetheart, here’s a present for next winter and your life after the war.  I wish you all the luck in the world.
