In December 1939, John C. Woods wrote a fraudulent $50 check in Wichita, Kansas. Wichita Detective Floyd Gunsaullus apprehended Woods and Grey Dresie, Deputy Sedgwick County Attorney, brought charges before Judge Grover Pierpont on December 22, 1939.
