Daniel E. Rouse, a member of the 1874 Yellowstone Wagon Road and Prospecting Expedition, in 1880 lived in Bozeman. He was a saloon keeper and was also married. Rouse was present at the celebration in 1883 to commemorate the arrival of the Northern Pacific Railroad to Bozeman and honor the members of the 1874 expedition. Daniel E. Rouse died on July 30, 1912 in Bozeman. Rouse is buried at the Bozeman Sunset Hills Cemetery.
