Arthur Greiser, Gauleiter of Danzig, born January 22, 1897 in Schroda/Posen, honorary SS-Oberführer, Gauleiter Wartheland, winner Iron Cross 1st Class in World War I, member of a post-World War I Baltic Freikorps, winner Nazi Golden Party Badge, member of the Reichstag, convicted of crimes against humanity and sentenced to Death, executed by hanging (after being paraded through the city in a cage) on June 20,  1946 in Poznan, Poland, on the Polish nation:
