U-103

On November 9, 1940, the U-103 departed Lorient for her second war patrol, which would prove even more successful than her first had been.  The U-103 sank seven ships on this patrol; five were in convoy; the U-103 returned to Lorient on December 12, 1940 after more than four weeks on patrol.  (Dönitz’s Crews: Germany’s U-Boat Sailors in World War II)
