Your time is valuable, and for most people they have more to do every day than they have the time to do it. So reading may not always be at the top of your list. However, a recent review of Dying Hard in Military Review, a magazine that the US Army publishes at Ft. Leavenworth, concluded with a very succinct rational for you to read this particular book:
“Dying Hard is a unique one-of-a-kind book about war and soldiering, sacrifice and comradeship. It is a foretelling of the type of courage, leadership, and endurance it will take to overcome a skilled and motivated enemy on a future lethal battlefield. For anyone who studies World War II combat, honors the Greatest Generation, or prepares to lead soldiers into future battles, Dying Hard is a must read.”
So if that describes you, ask your local library to get a copy of it, or search online for the least expensive source and get your own…because this is the type of book that you’ll want to read parts of again, and again.
